When I first read the names of the songs I wanted to throw- up. Then I thought about it again. I still wanted to throw-up.
I guess some of the songs titles could have double meanings such as Brooklyn Bound. It could refer to being chained to the Watchtower there in Brooklyn or the spiritual constipation one suffers as a worker bee at Watchtower Central.
i used to try and avoid running into jw's after i was first d/f, but the past few years i have taken a different spin on it.
at my old job as a cashier if i was the only cash open then they had no choice but to have me wait on them.
the apprehension on their faces as they approaached was hysterical.
I love the way people posting here handle shunning. It's their game not yours so why play by their rules. Their rules belong in the KH and they have no business expecting people who aren't part of their religion to play by them.
i have been thinking about this because of another post where the question asks have any of us ever been blackmailed to stay in the watchtower organization.. no, i won't say i was blackmailed; however, after i wrote my note of disassociation, the congregation overseer wanted to visit me in my home with two other elders.
i repeatedly said no, that i would not allow them to chastise me in my own home.
therefore, all of my conversations were over the phone with the overseer.
Not to my face but I have hear that some of them have said it and I'm sure most of them feel that way. But I'm still her and a lot of them aren't. A lot of the witness I knew got old and died or got sick and died since I left. I was thinking about that the other day. They wasted their lives waiting for God to kill everyone that didn't agree with them. Nothing they believed ever happened or will happen. I really feel quite sad for them.
that a city the size of london can come to a complete halt for 2 minutes in remebrance of it's dead is quite incredible.

those of you that know i am about to tell my wife what i have learned about jws religion soon.
we're talking likely less than a week.. anyways, i have in the past couple months dropped hints about moving somewhere else.
our house has literally tripled in value since we purchased 5 years ago, and we bought some property last year that has gone up 600%.
It sounds like a good plan to me. I have often wonder if it would have helped my situation if I had been able to move and get my wife away from her friends and family. It is much easier to stop doing all the jdub things when no one is there looking over your shoulder.

Tough one! As another post said you have to be true to your self first. This can be hard when you are married but I still think it is a very important thing to do in order to keep your sanity. My marriage ddn't break up when I left but there were, and still are some tought times and it has been years for us. If you can ease yourself out that would be a good way to do it but sometimes they notice the changes and force the issue to a head so be prepared. Also don't force what you are learning or believe on your wife. It can drive her further into the tower and futher from you.

Believe it or not I was looking for info underwear. I was looking up a website for Joe Boxer and came across a link about Mormon underwear (garment). I though if there is a sight on Mormon undies why not J-dub undies.......not really but I though if there is something on the web about mormons I wonder what there is on JWs. I was shock at how much I found.
